If you tend to throw a netbook in your bag whenever you leave the house, free wifi on public transport could be a windfall. Adelaide commuters are about to get a taste of free internet access, with a trial of the "i-Commute" passenger news and wifi access system. I know public transport wifi trials have been conducted in other cities, by various groups, so it's only a question of time before it comes to a bus, train or tram near you.

If you're commuting into town each day, chances are the time disgorge on the train would constitute the bulk of your mobile data use. Maybe you check your email to get a head start on the day, or perhaps you do a minor social networking. Maybe you just read the paper online, download a podcast or snatch up with your favourite blogs. Using free wifi each day would probably let you switch to a cheaper plan for your USB stick or smartphone text pack. This would be especially tempting if you were handing over a lot of money each month to use Telstra's horrendously expensive Next G network, with the cheapest statistics pack offering only 150MB for $10 per month.

Are there any devices correspond to to the Nintendo USB wifi connector. I need something that only requires either a usb port on my high speed internet connected computer. Or a usb seaport on my modem. PLEASE i need to find something because nintendo discontinued their usb wifi connector!
It needs to "create" a wifi signal. Not recieve one.
I would opt for to buy this device or the Nintendo usb connector at a store and not online. So i can return it if it doesnt work for me.
